Gyeongbokgung Palace - 21 Jun 05

We parked at Yongsan and took the subway to see the Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Museum of Korea -- both of which were closed. We looked at Gwanghwamun Gate and walked around the palace to Cheong Wa Dae (President of Korea's House and Compound). Security was tight and we didn't get a tour. About 2 blocks south of the Gwanghwamun Gate is the US Embassy; it is heavily guarded. From the whistles and police with mace rapidly approaching me, I'm guessing you aren't supposed to take pictures of the entrance gate. We finally found a place to eat and Cyndi is "cooking" me dinner.
